His father, a laborer, is jailed after being accused of stealing a bag of cement from his employer. Reuben witnesses the judgment and vows to work hard to save his family and himself from similar problems in the future.<\/p>\n<p>One day, Reuben finds an empty Paint tin and decides to make a guitar. His mother and neighbors are mesmerized by his creativity and music prowess. She requests the chief to give the boy a chance to perform during a public holiday. The chief links Reuben with a blind man, Daudi, also gifted in music. The two team up to produce a song and during the celebrations, they outshine everyone else. The Governor is impressed by Reuben&#8217;s performance and helps him to record his first song.
